As winter approaches, and snow starts to blanket Atlanta, I wanted to do one more shoot before the start of another year. I was approached by Recho Omondi and together we started shooting early in the morning, a la street style, with the talented Paris as our model. Being cold outside, yet gratefully sunny, we settled to shoot on Perimeter Center. This is what came of the shoot!

Open Studio as an annual show, in fact the biggest show, Savannah College of Art hosts. This year, the show exhibited amazing work from emerging artists, in the fields of Photography, Printmaking, Painting, and Sculpture. Attending the show, I came to support and view the work created by my contemporaries, but as a personal assignment, I could not refuse the chance to sneak in a few snapshots of what was going on outside the hanging wall. I want to extend a warm congratulations to all the Grad Students for doing such great work participating in the event and showing off their talents and techniques, and to all who had work sold, as well as on the wall.

Shoot this October, Saturday the 23rd.

If you are interested e-mail me at goranjphotography@gmail.com

THEMES:
1) Beauty: a softer, "pretty" look. You come up with the r
est!
2) Edgy: More dramatic, over done makeup. Think dark, nighttime, risk taker.
3) Pick Your Own Theme: If you want something specific, bring in a picture and we will try to replicate it for you. I never do 100% replications because I do not like to copy someone's work, but we will work with you to bring your idea into life.

M.O.D.A

Hello All,

As I am not posting daily blogs, the obvious conclusion was to change the title and go with something more modern, yet alluring. I have chosen M.O.D.A as the new name, and to celebrate added some new work for you.

Work displayed is from Fashion Designer Azede Jean-Pierre and Fashion Marketer Ashley Williams of whom I had the chance to photograph and would hope to continue to so.

DailyDose + The Sartorialist

I attended The Sartorialist lecture yesterday, presented by SCAD, whom I want to thank for the opportunity to meet one of my favorite bloggers/photographers and inspirations for this blog. I got the chance to ask questions, and after the lecture even get my picture with Scott Schuman, as well as a dialogue about Georgia's weather as a trade of politeness while waiting for the photographer to expose. And of course, the lovely Garance Dore, with her cute Broken English was at his side. After the lecture, I also seized the opportunity to photograph some very fashionable people.
